Aurora Aragon Quezon

February 19 is the celebration of the 122nd Birth Anniversary of Doña Aurora Aragon Quezon. With this, we will honor a model Filipina and will let the Filipino youth be aware of the great role she played in shaping the history of the Filipino people.

Doña Aurora Aragon Quezon, was born in Baler, Tayabas Province (now Quezon Province), on February 19, 1888. She was the only Filipina honoured by her countrymen. She was given a lifetime pension by the Philippine Congress but she refuse to accept it. She knew that there were so many war widows and orphans suffering at that time.

 
The Hard Training of Pacquiao

Manny Pacquiao, the so called king of boxing, is in Wild Card Boxing Club for his training. He is preparing for the March 13 fight with Joshua Clottey which will be held in Dallas.

Thru The Bulletin, Pacquiao stated that his Filipino fans have nothing to worry because he is training hard. In the just two weeks in the gym, Pacman already felt great because of a little good vacation last year after the fight with Cotto. Alex Ariza, his conditioning coach, assured that everything is right on track and Manny is ready to fight this Saturday. He already did 15 rounds in the mitts without a sip of water.

 
Ernesto Domingo

Domingo's recognized for his careful investigations on the basic character of schistosome granuloma and its function in hepatosplenic disease and the epidemiology and control of Hepatitis B.

He has been quoted as an example for organizing the Liver Study Group in the University of the Philippines that directed major careful examinations on liver cancer, viral hepatitis, Schistosomiasis japonica and cirrhosis.

 
Mercedes Barredo Concepcion

Concepcion was known for her careful investigation on population composition and general directions and their displays of connection on social and economic development, the gradual increase of urbanization, the position in life of the elderly, and of employment that came to be the foundations for population courses of action at home and in foreign country.

 
Engineers May Practice In Western And Asian Sectors

Our age is defined by modernization. We are living in a competitive world so there's a need of continuous research and study about scientific and technological breakthroughs.

The accreditation of engineering field is so meticulous. At present, they have to comply with 4 different accrediting associations in the world.

With this, engineers have a hard time in applying to international registers like the APEC Register and the International Professional Engineers' Register. Today, the two years short in our basic education is the problem so we are not qualified for membership in engineering bodies. Our engineers will not enter the Western and other Asian complement.
