Most young artists use YouTube as a major platform to enter the music industry. Some Asian-American upcoming artists became popular because of Youtube. Last Nov. 18, about 800 people gathered at the University of California in Davis to watch the performances of Filipino-Americans Michelle Martinez, Summerbreeze, Joey Diamond, Erika David, JR Aquino.

Started from selling siomai in Batangas, Jovit Baldivino, Pilipinas Got Talentfirst-ever grand winner, now indulges in his Platinum recognition for his first album: Faithfully.

Aside from this, Jovit serenaded his fans at the Aliw Theater last November 13 as he had his first major grand concert, which was directed by Johnny Manahan, with acoustic singer Nyoy Volante serving as the musical director.

Just like other artists in the showbiz industry, Sam Concepcion also hopes to enter the international scene same with the "singing sensation" Charice.

In an ABS-CBN interview, Sam said that he is still dreaming to share his music and talent to the world.

Sarah Geronimo, the Pop Princess, recently received the Entertainer of the Year award. She also won as Best Female in a Major Concert during the Aliw Awards. Sarah also won the Female Recording Artist of the Year for her album "Music and Me" at the Second Star Awards for Music of the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC). She also grabbed the Face of the Night at the PMPC awards night. It has been a fruitful year for Sarah. She is now busy with the critically-acclaimed romance-drama "Hating Kapatid" with Judy Ann Santos and topbilled ABS-CBNs' primetime series "Idol".
