A Tony Award-winning Filipino singer and performer, she is Lea Salonga-Chien. Maria Lea Carmen Imutan Salonga in real life was born on February 22, 1971 in Manila. She is best famous for her representation of Kim in the prestigious musical Miss Saigon.

Salonga was the foremost Asian to play Eponine in the musical Les Misérables on Broadway, and after became starring as Fantine, on March 2nd, 2007. Also, Lea lately out her first studio album in 7 years entitled Inspired. The carrier track is a remake of Beverly Craven's Promise Me. The album has just been certified Platinum.

In the area of musical plays, no further Filipino has achieved the equivalent global appreciation as she received. Lea has been the first to triumph different international honors for a solo role.
