Dr. Solevilla's research conclusions contributed extensively in the endorsement of the application of medicinal plants as alternative medicines, and in the government's program to improve the country's health care and healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Solevilla's also contributes to pharmaceutical sciences, for the study and recognition of the anti-microbial activities, diuretic, analgesic, anti-pyretic, and the anti-inflammatory, which are properties of some Philippine therapeutic plants.
