Bamboo Organ Festival

The Bamboo Organ Foundation, Inc. is had prepared for the 36th edition of the International Bamboo Organ Festival of Las Piñas entitled "Philippine Historic Music Festival." This yearly event happened last February 17-23 at the world renowned Bamboo Organ, the Philippine National Treasure. Philippines’ best and exceptional performances from award-winning global artists performed in the event. The music of Johann Sebastian Bach - The Best of Bach, Benjamin Britten - Misa Brevis in D Opus 63, Popular Philippine Folk Songs, Alejandro Consolacion II - Jubilate! (World Premiere) were featured. Music masters of the world who showcased their talent are: concert organists, Luc Ponet (Belgium), Armando Salarza (Philippines) and Philippines' world-class choirs: the Las Piñas Boys Choir, Hail Mary the Queen Children's Choir, University of the East Chorale and Imusicapella. The trumpet soloist Guido Segers (Belgium) and Rafael Leone, flutist (Austria), the Festival Orchestra and the two Filipino prime conductors Joel Navarro and Eudenice Palaruan also joined the event. The goal of this event is to promote Global Pinoy talents to the world and to celebrate the famous musical culture and tradition of our country. The Bamboo Organ Foundation Inc. was recognized in 1976 which aimed of preserving and maintaining the world famous and national cultural treasure - the Bamboo Organ.
