Ateneo Student won 3rd place in Best Project of the Year

A yearly research competition is being sponsored by BPI and DOST which recognizes students who outshine in specialized fields of science. BPI and DOST search for students who conducted researches in mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering, computer science, biology and environmental science.
 
Recently, a chemistry student of Ateneo won the third place in Best Project of the Year. He was Napoleon Salvador Antonio, BS Ch MSE student, wrote the study titled "Towards affordable solar cells: Fabrication of photovoltaic devices incorporating doped graphene from graphite and doped Carbon from pyrolyzed glycerol".  He was advised by Dr. Erwin Enriquez.

University of the Philippines- Diliman’s pride, Jann Adriel Sy won the first place for his study “Single nucleotide polymorphisms in the 3 'untranslated region of the pregnane X receptor gene and inter-individual variability in drug responses”. Jose Paolo Aguilar of the University of Santo Tomas won second place for his project titled "Remedation of chromium by immobilized microorganisms with zero-valent iron nanoparticles.”
