To help the new government resolve the present national and local problems of the society for the economic growth and development, Federation of Investors, Scientist and Researchers of the Cordillera, Inc (FISTCOR Inc.) advise President Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino III, and the other government officials and legislators to see the talents, ingenuity, creativeness and innovative spirits of the Cordillera inventors, scientist, researchers and technologists.

President Villamor Casiquin of FISTCOR Inc. said this in their induction ceremony held at the Baguio Palace Hotel last week.

Casiquin stressed out that their federation strive to act with Filipino inventors nationwide and the national government in all science and technology aspect to eradicate some of national problems like, climate change and global warming.

In addition to this, Casiquin said that FISTCOR Inc.'s mission is to integrate and institutionalize the inventors, scientists, technologists, researchers and various S&T entities in Cordillera, to give services and support to the country and to the government, in resolving problems on climate change, global warming, health, environmental degradation, education, and as well as to provide employment.

FISTCOR Inc. is now looking into the opportunity of having a close tie-up government for the creation, protection and commercialization of noteworthy inventions from the Cordillera.

At present, the newly formed federation has 13 members but they are planning to increase their number to all inventors/scientist and S&T enthusiast in the region.

Aside from Casiquin, Luder Zarate, Angel Maguen, Alberto Quizon, Dr Florence Reyes, Charles De Raedt, Godofredo Manucdoc, Menandro Ambanloc and Engr. Emmanuel Mendoza are the other officers of FISTCOR Inc. [via pia.gov.ph]
