Department of Science and Technology (DOST) through its Technology Application and promotion Institute (TAPI) is providing financial support to those who need to commercialize their inventions. P10-M is the allotted annual budget which is especially intended for the commercialization of their products. For the invention-based enterprise development, TAPI provide financial assistance to the inventor for the purchase of machinery and equipment for production and working capital. On the other hand, the industry- based invention development is another form of assistance provided for by TAPI by matching potential inventors with the technology needs of industries in the community. The program is brought about by Republic Act 7459 or the Inventors and Invention Incentives Act of the Philippines, a law that provides a program which would encourage and support inventors and maximize their capability. |
