Dr. Alfredo Lagmay was born on August 14, 1919. He practiced a lot of research linking to investigation scrutiny of behavior revision, recreation and associated states, and Hypnosis.
In appreciation of his effort, the University of the Philippines awarded him a Professional Chair in Psychology (1973-75), International Council of Psychologists, American Psychological Association of Applied Psychology and the American Psychological Association.
In year 1984, he obtained the Distinguished Service award for important contributions to psychology and the social sciences by the Association for Anthropological Diplomacy, Politics and Society and in support with the Association of Third World Anthropologists.
